LinkedIn groups allow you to create or join communities of practice, groups of people who come together online to share ideas and resources which enable every group member to achieve a specific thing or common goal.
LinkedIn groups tend to be a place for professionals to talk to one another, as opposed to Facebook groups which are more focusses around creating a community of customers.
By using the free websites IFTTT.com & Buffer you can schedule and automate all of your LinkedIn status updates from a blog or a Google Calendar to both your LinkedIn personal profile AND your LinkedIn company page.
You can also schedule messages via Hootsuite if you prefer, however, we feel that Hootsuite isn't as user friendly as IFTTT or Buffer so if you haven't used it before you may wish to take a look at IFTTT and Buffer first.
For many people, LinkedIn is best used on a smartphone or tablet when on the go. It is especially useful at networking events and conferences, where you can connect with the people you meet instantly (provided they have a LinkedIn profile... and they should!)
